The plant will generate over 9 GWh of green energy per year, offsetting more than 4,000 tons of CO2 annually. The development of the plant comes as part of the Egyptian government&#8217;s preparations for hosting the Conference of Parties (COP27), the United Nations&#8217; annual conference on curbing the effects of climate change, set to take place in Sharm El Sheikh in November of this year. In line with Egypt&#8217;s target to cover 42% of the country&#8217;s electricity needs by 2030 through renewable energy capacity, once built, the plant will contribute to the country&#8217;s plans to decarbonize the energy sector and meet its targets under Egypt&#8217;s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) towards achieving the objectives of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Since its inception in 2018, Hassan Allam Utilities has focused its investment and development efforts on sustainable infrastructure, primarily in renewable energy, water, logistics, mobility, in addition to social infrastructure assets.

Hassan Allam Holding proudly announces that its subsidiary Hassan Allam Construction has been awarded the Nasser Institute Hospital extension project.
NIH&#8217;s new extension aims to serve more patients and extend the hospital’s ability to offer on-time healthcare service to those who need it the most. The new extension has a total buildup area of 50,000 m². It will include about 280 inpatient beds, 125 ICU beds, a one-day surgery center with 11 operating rooms, and a specialized dialysis center.
The project adds to the group’s portfolio in the healthcare sector and we are confident of the Hassan Allam team&#8217;s strong capabilities to deliver this project up to the highest standards.

H.E. President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the first phase of Egypt’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) today.
Our subsidiaries Hassan Allam Construction and Hassan Allam Roads &amp; Bridges have successfully delivered three stations, two light rail transit bridges, and one tunnel in the first phase of the LRT project. Our scope of work included three stations spanning over 8,000 m2 each, Capital Airport station, Capital Gardens stations, and Arts and Culture City station (an interchanging station with Egypt’s under-construction Monorail).
The new LRT line will connect the New Administrative Capital with various cities in Cairo, including Al Salam, Al Shorouk, 10th of Ramadan, New Heliopolis, and Al Mostakbal cities, in addition to connecting with the Ain Al Sokhna highway, with the capacity of transporting around 1 million passengers daily.
The first of its kind in Egypt, LRT is a state-of-the-art transportation technology that marks another milestone for Hassan Allam Holding in the transportation infrastructure sector.

H.E. President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the first phase of Egypt’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) today.

Hassan Allam Holding is proud to announce that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction, is currently working on phase 2 of the development of the Ain El Sokhna port.
The project was awarded by the Ministry of Transportation in Egypt and will see the construction of one kilometer-long sea pier. The pier will use 536 concrete piles with a diameter of 1.2 m and 1000 m of diaphragm walls.
The project is an extension of the company&#8217;s work on an 852-meter-long sea pier in Sokhna and attests to its superior compelling capabilities in completing infrastructure projects.

It was also announced that the District Cooling Plant in the New Administrative Capital has been awarded the “MEP (Mechanical, Electrical &amp; Plumbing) Project of the Year” at <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=big5egypt&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A6947648695198715905">#Big5Egypt</a> Impact Awards for 2022. <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/kortecheg/">Kortech</a> has completed the full mechanical and electrical construction, testing, and commissioning of the New Administrative Capital district cooling plant, which is considered one of the largest in Egypt and Africa.

Hassan Allam Holding and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/acwa-power-international/">ACWA Power</a> signed a project agreement to co-develop a 1.1GW wind project in Egypt worth US$1.5 billion. The 1.1 GW project is one of the largest onshore wind farms in the world and the largest in the Middle East and will be located in the Gulf of Suez, Gabal el Zeit area.
The signing ceremony of the agreement took place today in Cairo, Egypt, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi, Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Her Excellency Dr. Hala El Said, Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, His Excellency Eng. Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Saudi Investment; His Excellency Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Alkassabi, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce, His Excellency Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State and Cabinet member for Shoura Council affairs.

Upon completion, the project will mitigate the impact of 2.4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year and provide electricity to 1,080,000 households.

Hassan Allam Holding is proud to announce that its subsidiary Hassan Allam Construction has commenced construction of the East Cairo Logistics Park (ECLP).
Built over an area of c. 270,000 m2 at one of Cairo’s most strategic locations, located 20 minutes from the airport and 35 minutes from downtown Cairo, ECLP will provide state-of-the-art, Grade-A warehousing facilities to the Egyptian market in line with international standards.
Once completed in 2023, the park will enable local and global institutions, allowing sophisticated logistics operations to meet the most demanding business needs.
ECLP is also the first of Hassan Allam Utilities’, the investment and development arm of Hassan Allam Holding, investments in the logistics sector.

The initiative is a Strategic Cooperation Agreement (SCA) among EEHC, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/gepower/">GE Power</a>, Hassan Allam Construction (HAC), and Power Generation Engineering and Services Company <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/pgesco/">PGESCo</a> to run a GE LM6000 gas turbine at the Sharm el-Sheikh Power Plant on a hydrogen-natural gas fuel blend.
Commenting on the news, Mohamed EL Dahshoury, CEO of Hassan Allam Construction, said, “We are delighted to participate in this project that widely contributes to a more sustainable future in line with our strategy. Our teams at Hassan Allam Construction are currently making massive progress in the SwanLake Residences project (SLR) in New Cairo, with construction and infrastructure works well underway.
The project is a mixed-use development by Hassan Allam Properties spanning over 460 feddans, which includes residential low and mid-rises components, commercial and retail spaces, a boutique hotel, and an office park.
With a total built-up area of 195,000 m2, the office park will include a variety of Build to Suit office spaces and experiential retail outlets.
Once completed, the mixed-use development will offer the residents an endless array of facilities.

Memorandums of Understanding signed with entities including The General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone, New and Renewable Energy Authority, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and The Sovereign Fund of Egypt Masdar and Hassan Allam Utilities will set up a strategic platform that aspires to take a leading role in the development of green hydrogen production plants in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and on the Mediterranean coast in Egypt, targeting an electrolyzer capacity of 4 gigawatts (GW) by 2030, and output of up to 480,000 tons of green hydrogen per year • The agreements will contribute to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the UAE and Egypt in renewable energy and green hydrogen, as the two countries prepare to host the COP27 and COP28 climate conferences and boost their active role in climate action and carbon emissions reduction • Agreements also align with Egypt&#8217;s Vision 2030 and sustainable development strategy Cairo, Egypt; April 24, 2022: Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, and Hassan Allam Utilities, the investment and development arm of Hassan Allam Holding Group, announced today that they have signed two Memorandums of Understanding with leading Egyptian state-backed organizations to cooperate on the development of green hydrogen production plants in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and on the Mediterranean coast. The Memorandums of Understanding were signed in the presence of His Excellency Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Special Envoy for Climate Change and Chairman of Masdar, His Excellency Dr Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy for Egypt, and Her Excellency Dr Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairperson of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt. Amr Allam and Hassan Allam, Co- Chief Executive Officers of Hassan Allam Holding, were also in attendance, along with Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar. The Egyptian organizations concerned include the New and Renewable Energy Authority, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, The Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and The General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone. HE Dr Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairperson of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt, stressed that Egypt has abundant solar and wind energy resources that would provide a suitable location for renewable energy projects at a competitive cost. Along with its proximity to global markets that are looking to import green hydrogen, this will allow significant growth for this sector in the future, and the agreements are in line with &#8220;Egypt Vision 2030&#8221; and its sustainable development strategy. Eng. Yehia Zaki, Chairman of SCZONE, said, “Today’s signing is the fifth of its kind for green fuel production projects inside Sokhna zone, as SCZONE has a distinctive location and pivotal ports overlooking the Red and the Mediterranean Sea. SCZONE is qualified to be a regional Hub for ship bunkering. All the companies now are conducting feasibility studies for the projects in detail to sign and announce the actual contracts in coinciding with the COP27 climate summit next November.” Ayman Soliman, Chief Executive Officer of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt, said, “Our green hydrogen portfolio is growing, taking us another step closer to our target and promise of developing green energy flagship projects under the umbrella of the collaborative effort between Ministry of Electricity, the SCZONE and TSFE. Through this partnership with Masdar we are looking to harness the leading edge of technology to make a difference in Egypt by leveraging the country’s abundant sources of green energy. “In the first phase of the project, Hassan Allam Utilities and Masdar aim to establish a green hydrogen manufacturing facility, which would be operational by 2026, producing 100,000 tonnes of e-methanol annually for bunkering in the Suez Canal,” he added. “The electrolyser facilities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and on the Mediterranean could be extended to up to 4 GW by 2030 to produce 2.3 million tonnes of green ammonia for export as well as supply green hydrogen for local industries.” Masdar and Hassan Allam Utilities see Egypt as a hub for green hydrogen production, targeting the bunkering market, export to Europe, and boosting local industry. Egypt enjoys abundant solar and wind resources that allow generation of renewable power at a highly competitive cost –a key enabler for green hydrogen production. Egypt is also located within close proximity to markets where demand for green hydrogen is expected to grow the most, providing robust opportunity for export. Driven by green hydrogen’s export potential, its ability to attract large-scale foreign direct investment and opportunities to contribute to the Government’s efforts to optimize generation costs and increase the share of renewables in the country’s energy mix to 42 percent by 2030, the Ministry of Electricity is currently revising its 2030 renewable energy strategy to include green hydrogen, and is developing a green hydrogen strategy, which is expected to be issued by October 2022. Active in more than 40 countries across the world, Masdar is invested in a portfolio of renewable energy assets with a combined value of more than US$20 billion, and a total capacity of more than 15 GW. In December, it was announced that Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA), Mubadala Investment Company and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) will partner under the Masdar brand to create a truly global, clean-energy powerhouse intended to spearhead the drive to net-zero carbon by 2050 while cementing the UAE’s leading role in green hydrogen.

As part of its efforts to support and develop social infrastructure across the country, Hassan Allam Holding is pleased to announce that it is partaking, through its subsidiaries, in the development of a number of sports facilities projects. The projects include a 9,000 m2 squash complex and a 460,000 m2 equestrian club located in the New Administrative Capital. The scope of both projects is full turnkey and are expected to be completed during this year. Additionally, Hassan Allam Construction is working on the construction of Kode sports club located in Swan Lake Residence compound in New Cairo. Kode, a 66,000 m2 fully-equipped sports club, will be featuring different sports fields for football, tennis, and other sports, a clubhouse, swimming pools, playgrounds, changing rooms, boiler room, gates and fencing, and underground parking. The project will be delivered on a turnkey basis, including hardscape and softscape, as well as pedestrian and bicycle areas. The projects demonstrate the group’s capabilities in delivering functional complexes delivered to spec, with the highest safety standards.

Hassan Allam Holding is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Hassan Allam Construction is working on a new world-class conference center in the New Administrative Capital. With a total built up area of 44,000 m2, the conference center consists of a basement, three floors, and a roof and will be delivered on a turnkey basis. The building consists of the main conference hall with a capacity of 2,100 people, customer relations and marketing offices, a ticketing booth, cafeteria, control rooms, administrative offices, and translator and electric rooms. It also consists of a secondary conference hall with a capacity of 440 people, a gallery hall, a presidential hall, a multi-purpose hall, lecture rooms, VIP areas, meeting rooms, and a fully equipped theater area with a stage. Hassan Allam Construction constructed the new Sharm El Sheikh Conference Center in 2019 on a turnkey basis. The facility can host more than 7,000 people and was executed in a record time of eight months. This project attests to the group’s ability to deliver state-of-the-art, multi-purpose buildings capable of meeting an array of conference and exhibitions needs.

Hassan Allam Holding is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction, is working on a new infrastructure project, El Reef El Masri. This phase for the project includes water and irrigation infrastructure works for more than 12,000 acres with the construction of 100 km of roads and pipe networks spanning the same distance. The project is set to be complete by the end of the year, despite the challenging conditions, including weather conditions and logistical and communication challenges due to the remoteness of the area. The project is part and parcel of the South Valley Development project that comes among the government’s most important strategic priorities, which will see the development and reclamation of hundreds of thousands of acres in Egypt. Hassan Allam Construction has recently delivered more than 200,000 acres through similar projects that support the government efforts to increase the land area available for agriculture as well as exploit the entirety of the land available and streamline water usage, in line with the national development strategy, Vision 2030.

The project includes the construction of the new hospital, which has a built-up area of 6,200 M2, comprising of the main hospital building, medical staff accommodation, and all ancillary buildings. The scope of work includes demolishing works, strengthening works, earthworks, concrete works, full architectural finishes, and Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works. The project is set to be completed in 12 months and forms part of the government’s wider strategy to strengthen the national medical services network across the country.

Awarded by the Egyptian African International Investment in November 2019, the project is set to be completed in the first half of 2022. The project has a total built-up area of 5700 m2 and features two buildings including the main hospital building consisting of a ground and four floors as well as an outpatient clinic consisting of a ground and two floors. The project is the latest in an expansive roster of large-scale international projects and forms part of Hassan Allam Holding&#8217;s ever-expanding international footprint across the region and the globe.

Hassan Allam Holding is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Intech has been awarded a new contract for a wastewater treatment plant.
The project is located in Mallawi city in Minya governorate, with a 40,000 m3/day capacity, expandable to 70,000 m3/day. The scope of work for this project includes the construction of the wastewater treatment plant, the pump station, the force line, and the house connections in the villages of Tuna al Jabal, Al-Muhharas, Beni Hafez, Al-Sawaha, and Sheikh Shabeka.
The project is part of the Decent Life “Hayah Karima” initiative endorsed by H.E President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, which aims to elevate the quality of life in villages across Egypt.
Intech is currently working on more than 18 projects under the Decent Life Initiative, with an aggregate capacity of 650,000 m3/day, including West Nubaria and Al Azab water treatment plants. Those projects will provide more than 3.5 million people with clean water every day.

Hassan Allam Holding is proud to announce that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction, has been awarded a project by the National Company for General Construction and Supplies for major infrastructure works for land reclamation in the New Delta region.
The project aims to cultivate and reclaim 157,000 acres, with 63,000 acres in phase one. The scope of work will include canal excavations for 15 million cubic meters, canal lining for 560,000 square meters, irrigation networks spanning across 240 km, asphalt roads subbase, earth roads and pivots.
The completion of this ambitious project is expected within six months and forms part of larger land reclamation efforts to increase agricultural land across the country.

The scope of work will include engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and handing over of light current and electronic security systems. The technology package will serve the four high rise towers, spanning a total built-up area of 342,000 m2.
The project is in line with Egypt’s sustainable development strategy Vision 2030 to develop smart cities and adopt the most advanced technologies at a national level, as well as improve the livelihoods of Egyptians.

The scope of work for Hassan Allam Roads and Bridges included the construction of 27 kilometers of earthworks and a 40-kilometer base layer with a thickness of 40 cm, amounting to 920,000 m2.
The project will contribute to spreading the impact of the Toshka land reclamation project, which seeks to promote the agricultural development of desert areas, and will also facilitate the movement of goods, as well as access to remote areas and national borders.

Hassan Allam Roads and Bridges has been awarded by the General Authority for Roads and Bridges a new dual railway vertical-lift bridge along the Nile Barrage area, crossing the Nile River on Damietta Branch. The bridge will connect the Qalyubiya and Menoufiya governorates, passing through Qalyub, Menouf, and Tanta.
The bridge spans across 1.35 km, consisting of 16 onshore concrete panels, and 3 offshore structural steel panels over the navigation course. The main intermediate offshore panel will form the movable part of the bridge using the hydraulic vertical lifting mechanism. The onshore concrete part consists of 17 axes using the slab on piles system with a total length of 280 meters.
The overall length of the offshore steel panels is 210 meters. The third part of the railway bridge will be constructed using the Earthwork embankment method to connect the existing rail line to the bridge. The length of the embankment is 839 meters.
The project overall includes about 2,200 tons of steel structure to be fabricated and erected by Hassan Allam Steel Division. The project is the first vertical-lift bridge in Egypt with the capacity to support heavy loads and is the latest in the group’s efforts and contributions to enhancing the national transportation infrastructure network.
